Lenawee County Animal Control Ordinance No. 4, authorized under the Michigan Dog Law of 1919, recites under Section 9:
Unlicensed dogs may be picked up as a public nuisance and furthermore that persons who fail to license their dogs are subject to a $100.00 fine up to 90 days in jail, or both, plus court costs.
State law requires all dogs 4 months old or over to have a license renewable yearly.
Licenses are available at City Hall from Dec 1 - Feb 28th each year.

NOTE: A current valid rabies vaccination certificate must be presented to purchase a license.
