CITY OF MORENCI HOSTING A TRAINING ON THE MEDICAL MARIHUANA FACILITIES ACT IN COORDINATION WITH THE MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY (MSU) EXTENSION OFFICE
MORENCI, MI – The City of Morenci in coordination with the Michigan State University (MSU) Extension Office is hosting a training on the Medical Marihuana Facilities Act. The Medical Marihuana Facilities Act is an act signed into law by Governor Rick Snyder in 2016. It provides for a licensing system for growing and dispensing medical marihuana.
In offering this training to the general public, City Administrator / Clerk Michael Sessions stated the following:
“This has been a topic of interest for many municipalities throughout Lenawee County, including the City of Morenci. It is important to have accurate information on this issue, so that our key decision makers can make informed decisions for their communities. We look forward to the training and to find out more about what the act entails.”
The training is scheduled for Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at the Morenci High School’s Cafeteria, located at 788 E. Coomer Street, Morenci, MI (Please use the east side Activities Entrance). The training will begin at 5:00 p.m. that evening. Those individuals wishing to participate in the training may fill out and submit a registration form to the City of Morenci offices located at 118 Orchard Street, Morenci, MI 49256, by April 12, 2017. The cost to participate in this training is $25.00. Registration forms can be downloaded below.
