ONLINE REPORTING TOOL AVAILABLE TO FILE POLICE REPORTS WITH MORENCI POLICE DEPARTMENT
MORENCI, MI – Residents no longer have to call or stop into the Morenci Police Department to file a report. As of today, residents may file a report relating to private property crashes, blight, larceny and theft, vandalism, lost property, threats, suspicious situations, child custody violations, harassing phone calls, and identity theft online.
Residents are asked to visit www.CityofMorenci.org to access the reporting feature that is on the front page of the website. Reports will be reviewed within 72 hours with contact by a police officer either through phone or e-mail. Contact back will include the status of the case.
This reporting tool should be solely used to report actual incidents. The reporting tool is the equivalent of filing a police report with the same standards for filing a police report applying.
Police Chief Michael Creswell is excited about the new tool for residents, especially given the safety that is being sought for all police officers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“As we are all experiencing adjustments to our daily life, we are encouraging residents to use the online reporting tool that we have made available to make police reports. This helps protect us all during this pandemic, while also helping to ensure that issues brought forward by our residents is resolved.”
If you have any questions or would like help with using the online reporting tool, please contact the Morenci Police Department at (517) 458-7104. In the case of an emergency, please remember that you should always call 911.
