MORENCI CITY OFFICES RENOVATIONS
Notice to Bidders
The City of Morenci will receive sealed bid proposals from qualified General Contractors for the 2026 Office Renovation project. All proposals shall include all labor, materials, and permits.
A mandatory pre-bid walk through for interested parties is scheduled for Friday, September 25, 2026, starting at 10:00 a.m. at the The City of Morenci Offices, City Counsel Chambers, 118 Orchard St., Morenci, MI 49256.
This is a not Prevailing Wage project.
All proposals shall be mailed or delivered to the Administrative Offices at The City of Morenci – City Building, Attention: Jeff Bell. Proposals must be received prior to 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, and will be opened and read aloud at a meeting open to the public. All bids will be evaluated after the bid opening. All bids received after the bid receipt deadline will be returned unopened. Facsimile bids will not be accepted.
The bidders shall read and review the Bidding specifications carefully, and familiarize themselves thoroughly with all requirements.

A Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) is required and must be submitted with the bid prior to the bid due date. The Bid Security may be in the form of a Bid Bond, Cashier’s Check, or Money Order. Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the bid date.
Additional bond requirements are listed in the bid specifications. A sworn and notarized Affidavit of compliance for the Iran Economic Sanctions Act certifying the contractor does and will comply with Public Act 517 of 2012 shall accompany all proposals. The Owner will not accept a proposal that does not include a sworn and notarized Affidavit of Compliance for the Iran Economic Sanctions Act. A form will be enclosed in the specification’s booklet that shall be used for this purpose.
The Project Completion Date is May 31, 2027.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, accept a bid other than the low bid, and to waive informalities, irregularities and/or errors in the bid proposals which they feel to be in their own best interest
