Habitat for Humanity is in the process of building two new houses in Morenci. The new homes will feature energy-efficient construction, 3 to 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, with most major appliances included. Homes are being built on E. Congress St. and N. Summit St. Applications are now being accepted from prospective home buyers. Eligibility for owning a Habitat home includes having stable employment with a minimum gross income of $640/week. A 3% fixed rate mortgage is available for eligible applicants. For more information on the current builds and home ownership, click here.
Habitat of Humanity is also in search of volunteers for all phases of the construction project. Volunteers will need to sign a volunteer waiver and will be subject to a background check. Click here to sign up to help using the Volunteer Portal.
