Bob Hackett is the new Building Inspector and Zoning Administrator for the City of Morenci.

However, before starting any projects, it's essential for residents to be aware of the necessary permits required by the city.

Permits are necessary to ensure projects comply with local building codes and zoning regulations. Whether you're planning to build a deck, remodel your kitchen, or install a new fence (among other improvement projects), obtaining the proper permits is a crucial first step.

To facilitate this process, the Morenci City Council hired Bob Hackett as the building inspector and zoning administrator at their December meeting. With 47 years of experience in the field, Bob brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role, ensuring that all construction projects meet the required standards. From reviewing permit applications to conducting inspections, Bob is committed to assisting residents and business owners every step of the way.

As home improvement project planning begins, residents are asked to call City Hall to initiate the permitting process, if needed, and gain insights into the requirements specific to their project.
