On Monday, June 10, 2024, the Morenci City Council approved the formation of an Ad Hoc Marijuana Committee to facilitate open dialogue regarding the marijuana industry within the City of Morenci. This committee will establish the topics for discussion, ensuring a comprehensive approach to this matter.
To ensure representation from all interested parties, the committee will include:
• 2 Representatives from the Morenci City Council (Jerome Bussell & Kori Christle)
• 2 Morenci Residents
• 1 Grow Facility Representative
• 1 Provisioning Center Representative
Residents who wish to be considered for participation on the Ad Hoc Committee are invited to submit a Letter of Interest. Please send Letters of Interest to City Administrator Jeff Bell at jeff.bell@cityofmorenci.org. Alternatively, letters may be delivered in person to the City Hall offices from Monday to Thursday, between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
All Letters of Interest must be received no later than June 28, 2024, for consideration.
