The Kiwanis Club of Morenci is proud to carry on the tradition of the Silver Creek Bridge Walk for its 30th year, scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 2. An 83-foot walk across the southernmost bridge in Michigan will bring together residents of Morenci, Lenawee County, and neighbors from throughout the area and beyond. This year’s event will benefit Kiwanis of Morenci in partnership with Morenci Area Schools. Proceeds will support Morenci Area Schools staff recognition initiatives.
Community leaders, local politicians, and residents are invited to speak at the Labor Day Bridge Walk, with each speaker limited to 60 seconds. The Kiwanis Club of Morenci will provide a hot dog lunch for a free-will donation and host a trivia game to test guests’ knowledge on Morenci Area Schools' staff throughout the years. Prizes will be awarded to winners who guess correctly.
