The City of Morenci is seeking dedicated individuals to serve as poll workers for the upcoming election. As a poll worker, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient voting process. The city offers comprehensive training to prepare you for the responsibilities, covering all aspects of the role. The training session is scheduled for October 1, 2024, at the Lenawee County Courthouse in Adrian, with mileage reimbursement provided.
Poll workers earn $150 for a full day of work, with polls open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Workers are expected to arrive by 6:30 a.m. for setup and stay to assist with closing procedures. To support you throughout the day, lunch and dinner are provided. You'll be part of a friendly and supportive team, making the experience not only rewarding but also enjoyable, with plenty of opportunities to engage with your community.
To qualify, you must be a registered voter in Michigan and at least 18 years old. The opportunity is open to all political affiliations, and residency in Morenci is not required.
