Morenci's Fall Fest is back and will take place on Saturday, October 5, from 4 to 11 p.m. in downtown Morenci. This fun and free event is packed with live music, family activities, and seasonal vendors. You'll also have the chance to enjoy festive menus from local restaurants and food trucks.
From 4 to 7 p.m., Main Street will be bustling with family-friendly activities, including a photo booth, face painting, a petting farm, archery, a caricature artist, and a hayride—all free of charge. In addition, a tree trunk chainsaw carver will showcase their craft, and local merchants, businesses, and non-profits will offer seasonal shopping opportunities and fun fall activities for kids.
The excitement begins at 4 p.m. with an art reveal at Alley 221. Following the art reveal, the first of three outdoor concerts will begin, featuring Bark's Tales at Alley 221 as the backdrop to the vendor fair. At 5 p.m., enjoy live music by The Forrest Family Band at the Morenci Eagles, along with a community bonfire. Main street will re-open soon after 7 p.m., but the entertainment shifts to the Rex Theater at 7 p.m. for a stand-up comedy show featuring Corey W. King and Steve Iott. Tickets for the comedy show are $25 available at the box office.
The Morenci Social District will be open throughout the event until 11 p.m., allowing attendees to purchase alcoholic beverages in designated cups from the Flats Pub and Morenci Eagles 1297. Drinks can be enjoyed within the Social District boundaries, and The Rex Theater now allows Social District beverages inside, with signage posted to indicate permitted entry.
Here are a few reminders:
Only adults 21 and older may purchase a Social District beverage.
Bringing your own alcohol into the Social District is not permitted.
Leaving the Social District with an alcoholic beverage is not permitted.
Social District cups are not refillable.
Please help keep our downtown clean. Dispose of your cup in readily available trash receptacles.
The Social District does not encompass all of the entire Fall Fest area, which extends to the Morenci Fire Department, Healthy Spot Morenci, and Jammers Designs. Please be advised that Social District cups must be thrown away before leaving the permitted area. Extra help from our Morenci Police Department will be on duty to ensure safety and compliance. They will be happy to help if you have a question, or you can always ask your bartender.
The event wraps up with a final live performance at Flats Pub at 8 p.m., featuring The Dive Bar All-Stars. Enjoy the music and bonfire as the evening winds down.
Don't forget to check out the grab-and-go menu specials! Flats Pub will be serving BBQ and Fall Fest selections, Morenci Eagles will offer homemade chili and hot dogs, and Morenci Deli will feature tikka masala and vegetable samosas. The Morenci Fire Department will also be hosting a BBQ chicken dinner. Additional food vendors include El Poquito Chapulin and Bumpy Road Waterin' Hole.
