The City of Morenci invites the community to an open house at Stair District Library on Wednesday, December 11, to learn about the downtown tree planting project, funded by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources Community and Urban Forestry Inflation Reduction Act grant program. This event offers the opportunity to hear from the planning committee and explore the various components of the project, including tree planting, ongoing maintenance, educational initiatives, and community outreach efforts.
Stop in between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. to meet representatives from the City, Downtown Development Authority, Morenci Area Schools, and Stair District Library, along with licensed landscape architect Lisa DuRussel. The team will be on hand to share details, answer your questions, and discuss how you can get involved in this collaborative effort. Light refreshments will be provided.
