Food boxes provided by the Feed America South Michigan Food Bank are distributed by volunteers to the Morenci area. Distribution occurs on the first Thursday of every month from 2:00-4:00pm at the Morenci Bible Fellowship on Sims Highway.
Both perishable and non-perishable meal ingredients and pantry staples are included. Anyone with a surplus of garden harvest is invited to donate any extra produce to be distributed in addition to the prepared boxes. Over the summer Chesterfield Feeders 4H Club members helped at the food bank, but now that the students are back in school volunteers are needed to help with this community service.
