The City of Morenci hires Julie Lonis as the City Treasurer and Logan Edmonson as a part-time Police Officer

City Council approved the hiring of Julie Lonis as the City Treasurer at their regular meeting on November 14. Julie comes to City Hall with 19 years of experience as an administrative professional, most recently working at Elara Caring Hospice in Adrian as the clinical coordinator. Julie has lived in Morenci for 22 years with her husband, Brad, and daughter, Breanne. Julie started as the City Treasurer on November 30. She is happy to now be working and serving in the community where she lives.

Logan Edmonson began working part-time for the Morenci Police Department in November. Officer Edmonson started his policing career in 2017 as a Sheriff's Deputy at Lake County Sheriff's Office in Taveres, Florida. He moved back to his hometown of Reading, MI in 2020, and was a Sheriff's Deputy and K9 Handler for the Hillsdale County Sheriff's Office. Officer Edmonson now resides in Seneca with his wife and two children. He is excited to serve the residents of Morenci and be a part of the small town community.
