ECHO Term Highlight: Intro to Woodworking. In this course students will be guided through the basics of woodworking and its possible applications. Students will be introduced to a variety of woodworking tools, from hand tools to power tools. They will take and pass safety tests for the tools that they will be utilizing in class. Students will be introduced to what a build plan is and how to construct one. Students will gain hands-on experience in helping to construct different objects and structures around the school. This course will be working closely with the greenhouse and community garden to construct structures that are needed in order to have these facilities thrive. This will be the main focus of the course and will be run as a multi class collaboration. These projects are a way for students to build life skills in planning, communication, team work, and much more. Students will also be a part of a project that will improve not only the school but the community as well. A special thank you to Mr. Larry Leady, Mrs. Suzette Boesger, and Mr. Nick Wilson. Without the help of these individuals this course would not have been possible.

ECHO Term Highlight: National Safety Council First Aid, CPR and AED Certification. Students who successfully completed this course obtained certification in First Aid, CPR and AED use. Thank you Rebecca Berger for her time and expertise in certifying our students and Keller Warehouse & Co-Packing for their generous donation to pay for each student to certify and Rebecca's time to certify the students.

Good Afternoon from Morenci Area Schools. This message is to inform you that report cards are complete for all middle and high school students. You can find all final grades on the Parent Portal, or you may pick up a paper copy of your student's report card at the middle school office tomorrow or Thursday, June 15th & 16th, from 8am - 3pm.

Tomorrow, Wednesday June 8th all students grades 6-11 will take a Board Approved Universal Health Screener. A link to this screener is on the district website located on the main page in the upper right hand corner.

A random student from the high school and one middle school will be drawn at the end of each week. If the student drawn hasn’t had any discipline issues, tardies or absences that week, their name will be announced over the PA and they get to choose a prize! Congratulations to last week's winners: Brennen Harsh and Elizabeth Ferris.
